Getting there... - Oh, Baby! (Er, make that babies...)

Once again, I am drug-free! I was taken off of the Indomethacin Friday as planned, and now we're just waiting for showtime. My guess is that it's not going to be long. My contractions are picking up in intensity though there's still nothing consistant about them yet. I have my doubts that I'll make it to my next appointment with my midwife on Tuesday, though. That would be fine with me considering what a pathetic, swollen, pain-ridden creature I've become.

We got a good measurement of Baby B on Friday, and he's estimated at 5lbs 9oz right now. Baby A, though, is so far down and engaged in my pelvis that it was too difficult to get good measurements for him. The best they could come up with was 4lbs 12oz, but the tech and Dr. Maher both said that based on their growth history, there's no reason to believe that Baby A isn't about the same size as Baby B. Actually, he's tended to be a little bit bigger. Looks like we're going to have two healthy-sized babies! I believe my birth weight guesses were 5lbs 10oz and 5lbs 14oz. I could be pretty close! We'll see soon!

Baby B was still laying transverse on Friday ... except that he had switched around the other way! On Tuesday his head was on my left side. Now his head is on my right side! I don't know where the little booger is finding the room to move like that or why he won't be still! These two are certainly VERY active babies, and I'm going to have three Energizer Bunny boys in my house soon!

Jason's parents got into town yesterday, and we had them and his grandparents and his aunt over for dinner - a kind of pre-birth celebration dinner. Everyone is getting so excited now with the time being so near! Having his aunt here from Seattle is a bonus we didn't expect, and she's psyched that she gets to join in the baby mayhem!

We'll keep everyone updated as best we can over the next few days...
